Cefson is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in adults and children, including newborns. It works by destroying bacteria that cause infections. The medication is administered as an injection by healthcare professionals and is available as a powder and solvent for reconstitution.

Показания: Treatment of infections of the brain (meningitis), lungs, middle ear, abdomen, urinary tract and kidneys, bones and joints, skin and soft tissues, blood, and heart. Also used for specific infections including sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhea and syphilis), fever in patients with low white blood cell count due to bacterial infection, lung infections with chronic bronchitis in adults, Lyme disease in adults and children over 15 days old, and prevention of infections during surgical procedures.

Дозировка: Administered by injection (intravenous infusion or direct injection into vein or muscle). Adults and children over 12 years weighing ≥50 kg: 1-2 g once daily, up to 4 g daily for severe infections. Children 15 days to 12 years weighing <50 kg: 50-80 mg per kg body weight once daily, up to 100 mg per kg for severe infections (maximum 4 g daily). Newborns 0-14 days: 20-50 mg per kg body weight once daily (maximum 50 mg per kg daily). Dosage adjusted for liver and kidney impairment.

Состав: Active substance: ceftriaxone (as ceftriaxone sodium) 1000 mg per vial. Solvent contains: lidocaine hydrochloride 10 mg/ml, sodium hydroxide, water for injection.
